There is no such thing as reality in actuality, only our individual perception of reality

If only we would understand the true meaning of this statement; we would no longer have to experience feelings of disappointment, anger and frustration towards other people. And instead of getting lost in our own perception of the world believing that we are experiencing reality as it is; we would become more tolerant, understanding and patient towards other people’s opinions’ and perspectives.

How you see reality is colored by your beliefs, values and past experiences which explains how two different people can experience the exact same situation very differently. Opportunities for some can be perceived as an obstacle for others, and what is correct for you might be completely wrong for me.
Therefore, next time you have an argument with someone, trying to make that person understand how wrong she is, do remember that your perception of reality might be very different, and you might both be wrong for that matter or you might both be right.

If your life is filled with disappointment and frustration; it is because that is how you have programmed your brain to perceive reality. A friend of mine once asked me “Im thinking about moving to Dubai, how are the people in Dubai? ”I answered by asking my friend the same question about the people in her own hometown. She answered “They are very unfriendly and untrustworthy, and I really don’t like anyone”. I answered back: “Well those are the kind of people you will find in Dubai too”. Afterwards, another friend asked me the same question, and I responded in the same way. Then, she said that she liked the people around where she lived, and that she had many friends she would miss. I told her that in Dubai she would find those same kinds of good people, and for sure she would make a lot of new friends.

The first step towards a change is awareness; questioning your own beliefs and values broadens your mind; and the second step is consciously creating a new interpretation of your life experiences’. Relying on the programs of yesterday only brings more of the same into your life. Creating a new program of how you perceive and interpret your reality; gives you the power to create a NEW and more fulfilled life for yourself.
